Year 11 Students Explore Community Connection at Local Café

Following our recent focus on Community Connection, our Year 11 Boronia students took their learning beyond the classroom with a visit to a local café.

As part of their Wellbeing project, students are designing activities that promote positive wellbeing and encourage meaningful connections. The café visit provided the perfect opportunity to experience the importance of community spaces, collaborate with their peers and reflect on how social connections contribute to overall wellbeing.

By stepping outside the school environment, students were able to engage with their local community, share ideas and gain a deeper understanding of the role that connection and belonging play in supporting positive mental health.

At Urban College, we believe learning happens everywhere — and sometimes the best ideas really do start over a hot chocolate.
