METEC Driver Training Excursion: A Memorable Milestone

Our recent excursion to the METEC Driver Training Centre was an exciting and memorable experience for everyone involved. The day was filled with energy, personal growth, and plenty of proud moments.

Students rotated through two key sessions. The first was a theory class, where they explored road laws, hazard perception, and what it truly means to be a safe and responsible driver. The second was a hands-on session, giving students the incredible opportunity to get behind the wheel and experience driving firsthand.

The practical component took place on METEC’s 5 km closed-road circuit, providing a safe and controlled environment for students to learn—many for the very first time. It was inspiring to see how quickly they adapted to being in control of a vehicle. With the guidance of METEC’s experienced instructors, students approached the challenge with confidence, maturity, and a genuine eagerness to learn.

Throughout the day, their behaviour was nothing short of outstanding. They listened attentively, supported one another, and showed great respect for the staff and equipment. METEC instructors even commented on how polite, engaged, and motivated our group was—a true credit to the students and their willingness to embrace the experience.

What stood out most was just how much the students enjoyed themselves. Whether it was the thrill of navigating a roundabout or the pride of completing a smooth park, their smiles said it all. Many students shared how much they learned and how exciting it was to drive in such a realistic yet safe setting.

All in all, the METEC excursion was a tremendous success. Each student brought a positive attitude, demonstrated maturity, and made the most of the opportunity. We couldn’t be prouder of how they represented our school, and we’re confident this experience has brought them one step closer to becoming safe, capable drivers. They should all be very proud of themselves.
