Urban College Year 10 students have begun an eight-week program with The Safety Pact, designed to build confidence, awareness and practical skills for navigating real-world situations.

The program kicked off with an engaging self-defence session, giving students the opportunity to learn practical strategies while developing greater confidence and awareness of their surroundings.

Over the coming weeks, sessions will explore a range of important topics relating to physical and digital safety, as well as strategies for recognising and dealing with conflict and manipulation.

The program provides students with practical knowledge they can apply in everyday situations, while encouraging them to think about personal safety, boundaries, decision-making and how they respond to challenging circumstances.

It was a fantastic first session, and we look forward to seeing students build on these skills throughout the eight-week program.
